Beginner here. I dont understand how you know how many to chain and how many stiches the squares represent. The first square you chain 5 because you are using double crochets so you have to star on the 3rd chain. But how do you know the first square represents 3 stitches? Love the video tho! Thank you! ❣

What a great tutorial!!! I started crocheting a couple years ago and am looking forward to trying this c2c method. I absolutely LOVE the heart design and I bet it would look amazing in different colored squares of a blanket!

I like your video but I don't like to carry my yarn because I want my back to look neat on the wrong side.there is some color changes I get lost on when I have to work a color change on the back side 1 or 2 blocks past.

I’ve tried to make your pattern smaller for the F but I’m stumbling do you have a smaller F letter pattern or have suggestions ?!? I can’t figure it out ! Thank you so much

You don't need to video every single step ~ maybe do 3-4 examples, then cut away (go off screen) & return when you're at the last stitch of that row (section). I got "tired" watching you do every single stitch, so I probably did a 'no-no' by fast forwarding through a section. I do like your hood!

I just followed your tutorial plus printed off the pattern. You had me confused on starting the trim and scalloped edging. The printed instructions say to start with a chain2, but in the tutorial you didn’t and did something different. That where it confused me. Other than it’s a pretty sweater I will be able to give to my future granddaughter.

I have a quick question! I’ve watched a few videos of the technique where you ch 6 to increase and ch 3 for each block. Can you use the simple technique for any graphgan or does it determine the size of the project? I saw one video where you ch 5 to increase and ch2 for each square.

Hi, hope all is well I was looking through the pattern and I couldn’t find the number of how many chains you start off with for any of the sizes. Am I just missing it or is 76 starting chain for all sizes?
